The Office: Casual Friday Recap

The Office: Casual Friday Recap

Michael is back and is back in a casual way. Michael along with Pam and Ryan are not welcomed back warmly to say the least. Michael doesn't want people to beg for his forgiveness or even to cut their own wrists over that, he just wants a simple micro version of all that, and for their old boss, is that too much to ask? Pam and Ryan are informed they will be joining the sales team and that makes everyone very unhappy because no one is getting the clients back that Michael and those two stole from them. Michael also is pleased to announce the casual Friday policy has been brought back which upsets Angela more so then others.

She is upset because she has to stare at Oscar's feet to which she says they look like he just got off a boat and when she takes it up with Toby he just asks her to not look at his feet. Of course for Angela that's not good enough and she berates him and tells him to learn how to do his job and how to deal with an hysterical woman, she is so awesome. Dwight passes out a secret letter to all those not named Pam and Ryan and tells them to heat his warning. So of course cut to Dwight talking about, “Where did I get the invisible ink? It is urine.” That was so awesome.

Michael along Ryan and Pam are reminiscing in old memories when Jim comes up to them and informs them that their might be a mutiny on their hands. Michael is still bitter because he is upset that no one came with him when he left Dunder Mifflin. Ryan tells him to go down there and crack skulls and let them know who the boss is again. The mutiny traders come back up and when Michael asks them where they were they respond they were out to lunch. So Michael goes into the food they prepared with them and they all enjoy their food in front of the others.

MOMENT OF THE SEASON: Toby confronting Meredith about her outfit where he says it's riding a little high. Angela, “you're boob popped out.” That was unreal and is one of the best moments in show history, I'm still crying from how hard I was laughing. That was just so awesome.

Ryan squares off against Dwight and tempers start to flare up. The alliances start to boil over and things can't be controlled. Dwight threatens that they will all quit if they don't get their clients back and will form a new paper company called 'Schrute, Palmer, Benard, Stanley paper company.' Michael can't see that he is hurting all of his former sale team members and Meredith reminds them that they were all a family and that they are suffering now and they want their clients back.

Michael knows he is in the wrong and has looked at this thing from his point of view, the sales team point of view and 98 other ways. Michael confronts Dwight to set up a secret meeting and even uses his special 'ink' that is conveniently placed in Ryan's cup to tell the old sales team. Dwight responds- 'gasp.' Michael gives all of them their clients back and rescinds his apology to them. Michael is now forced to choose between Ryan and Pam to see who will get the remaining sales job position as he can only afford to keep one now. Creed and Jim's little game thing was great. 'Oh I'm engaged to Pam.' Creed- 'I thought you were gay.' Jim- 'then why would you just set me up with your daughter?'

Michael can't decide so asks Jim who he thinks he should choose between Ryan and Pam. Michael does a pro/con list and Jim says how close he is to Ryan, with Michael responding- ' I know how close you are to Pam also.' It's a difficult decision for our boss as he compares it to if he should rent the Devil Wears Prada again or make his way to Sophie's choice. I know it's tough right?

The entire staff confronts Toby and he cancels casual Fridays only to outrage everyone, but not before Dwight sabotages the meeting only to suggest everyone wear Earth tones and that women shouldn't wear pants. Michael decides to give Ryan the sales job and laughs uncontrollably. Psych, we find out that he gives Pam the job and can't control himself but he does offer Ryan his temp job back and says Ryan was mad at him when he told him he got the job only to say he didn't. Pam suggests not to fake fire anyone and Michael asks Pam to send in Erin where Michael just says have a seat, all priceless.

Michael to Erin, nobody likes you in the office and I'm sorry were going to have to let you go. He calls Hank who is the building's security guard and just how he laughs makes it even better and of course she isn't fired. Erin- “Do you like me?” Michael- “I don't know.”

Other bright spots from tonight's episode:

Kevin Malones opening chili scene, priceless. I love how he tries to clean it up and then becomes all dirty from rolling around in it.

The question mark entrance scene with Michael was genius.

Angela on casual Friday, people are dressed up inappropriately, Michael- take it up with Toby.

Meredith to Ryan, “Don't fall in love with me kid.”

Toby's tale of his divorce and how he became an HR representative, so funny.

Meredith, “I saw a crowd thought it was a dog fight.”

This episode might be one of my top 3 episodes of all time, it was so freaking funny. No Charles this week, so it will be interesting to see how that all plays out, but the show is so much more rejuvenated now that the family is all back together. The episode was perfect and I have nothing bad to say about it.

Idol bottom three recap... what the hell is going on here?

Ok folks, so explain to me how one Adam Lambert is in the bottom three of American Idol? Have you people grown tired of his dramatic singing style or do you just not like him. I don't understand how in God's name he was in the bottom three last night and even in the bottom two. Someone help me here please...

So last night the remaining five were seperated into two groups. On one side of the stage we had Matt and Kris and on the other we had Allison and Danny. So of course Ryan Seacrest, who I can't stand anymore, asks Adam which group he thinks is the safe group and asks him to go choose and walk over to that group. So he does and goes and stands next to Allison and Danny. It is then when Seacrest shocks us all and reveals that, that group is not the bottom three but rather Adam, Matt and Kris are in the bottom three, while Allison and Danny are safe. Yes my mouth dropped when that was announced.

So the first one sent back which I knew was going to be Adam... wait it wasn't Adam. Ryan sends back Kris and we have vying for their lives, Matt and Adam. How in the hell does that happen? Like I've said in my recaps I don't think Matt should still be on the show and I think he is going to go home tonight but with Adam there now I started to panic. I think Adam is the bomb and I still think he can win the entire show. So after waiting through a terrible Jamie Foxx rendition of whatever it was he was singing, Ryan says Adam... you are safe. THANK GOD!

So Matt Giraud goes home which I wanted to happen (I said that in my recap) but predicted Allison would go home and thank God I was wrong. Allison is twice the singer Matt is and I'm glad she is still in the competition. So were down to our final four- Adam, Kris, Danny and Allison.

Things are going to be awesome next week as Slash is the mentor for Rock Week, my favorite I can't wait!

American Idol Top 5 turn to The Rat Pack

Alright so I correctly picked one of the two who went home last week as Anoop and Lil Rounds were sent packing home. So let's try to do it better this week, and just getting half right is not good enough for me and my Idol followers. So on with the show.

This week's theme- Songs from the Rat Pack era, and the mentor was none other then... Jamie Foxx. Yeah that's right Jamie Foxx, so that does make a lot of sense right?

Anyways on with the five remaining Idol participants:

-Kris Allen, sings The Way You Look Tonight
Recap: The dude can flat out sing. Sure I'm not going to know any of the songs tonight but he does a great job on this ballad. It has a nice tempo to it and he hits all the notes if you ask me. He is on a major wave of momentum right now and I think he only helps himself this week. It is another solid performance from this year's dark horse contender, keep it up Kris.
Judges: Randy thinks it's his best performance to date, Kara says he sets the technical difficulty for tonight so high and says she loves it, Paula calls him an adorable sophisticated gentlemen, and Simon calls it a little bit wet, doesn't think it's incredible.
TK's take: Simon doesn't like it but I think America will, but we'll wait to the end to predict our bottom three.

-Allison Iraheta, sings Someone to Watch Over Me
Recap: Again not a song that I know but moving on. She starts off flawlessley and her voice fits the song very well. The song is kind of a boring choice for me but her vocals are near flawless. This definitely isn't her area of music but it really isn't any of our contestants. She makes the best of the song and I think she delivers a very strong performance.
Judges: Randy says she looks dope and that was the bomb, Kara says no need to be nervous anymore, and that it was amazing, Paula loves the ballad and how she delivers the song, Simon asks her if she thinks she can win but doesn't believe she thinks she can, but calls the performance great but still says she is in trouble tonight.
TK's take: She has been flirting on the edge of elimination several times but I wonder if it's too little too late for my girl Allison.

-Matt Giraud, sings My Funny Valentine
Recap: Oh he is still on the show, I am still upset about that one. What do you people like in him? I think the start of the song sounds very bad tonight compared to the previous two performances. Again this performance doesn't do anything to justify him. I think his voice is just average and it doesn't shine or come through at all this week for the supposed jazz master. He used to be someone I enjoyed listening to but lately it has just progressed to the point where I just don't like him, sorry.
Judges: Randy says it was a little pitchy, Kara doesn't feel any emotional connection between him and the song, and Paula of course loves it and Simon disagrees with Randy, he calls it the only authentic performance of the night.
TK's take: Well the judges are split 2-2 but I favor Randy and Kara, so we'll decide his fate later on.

-Danny Gokey, sings Come Rain or Come Shine
Recap: Finally the performance I've been waiting for all night. I think his voice fits this genre so perfectally. He delivers one of his better performances in weeks and I think its about time. He sounds on top of his game tonight and like I said his voice just makes this song sound fresh and something that many people would enjoy today. It's definitely my favorite performance of the night so far and I think Danny is back and he just nails it. He kills the ending of the song and makes it his own.Judges: Randy thinks he can have an album of songs like that and win and he just can flat out sing, Kara says he has the swagger tonight and it was great, Paula says stellar performance, and Simon says he has the swagger and the confidence and he says he came out to prove a point tonight and he does that.
TK's take: Best performance of the night by a mile and everyone loves it, TK included.

-Adam Lambert, sings Feeling Good
Recap: Every time he takes the stage he just commands it. He has smashed the last couple of weeks and just when you think he is going to be just average, guess again. He takes this rat pack song and makes into a rock type groove and I really enjoy it. His vocals are once again at the top of his game and he proves to all of us why he is the top dog. That note he holds for like 10 seconds is just so over powering it trumps the competition. Unbelievable yet again, and just crown him the winner, alright, it's over.
Judges: Randy says he is just in the zone, Kara says her mouth has just dropped open again and loves it all, Paula says you make me feel better then good, and that you are our Michael Phelps and Simon just says he wants to come out and win and to prove a point each performance.
TK's take: Easily safe again and is just coasting into the finals.

TK's Best of the Night: I gotta go with Danny over Adam by just the smallest of margins but they were both superb.

TK's Worst of the Night: Matt Giraud

So this week's bottom three is going to be tough but I'm going to try my best:
-Matt Giraud
-Allison Iraheta
-Kris Allen

There is no way Danny or Adam make it into the bottom three so these will be the three that face the elimination chairs this week.

What I think is going to happen is that Kris will be sent back first because he is on a roll and is one of the better singers on the show. What I hope happens that Matt goes home, but I think Allison has just been in the bottom three too many times and will be leaving Idol this week but here's hoping to Matt leaving.

TK's Top 10 Songs of All Time- Numbers 2 and 1

Well folks another countdown has arrived at it's end but don't worry it's not the last TK Countdown I can assure you. We've seen eight chart topping hits boasting some of music's greatest classic hits but the time has come for my list to top all of that. I know I've saved the best two songs for last and without further a due lets take a look back at numbers 10-3.

10. AC/DC- Whole Lotta Rosie
9. Van Halen- Ain't Talkin Bout Love
8. Led Zeppelin- Stairway to Heaven
7. Boston- More Then A Feeling
6. Pearl Jam- Black
5. Queen- Bohemian Rhapsody
4. Led Zeppelin- Whole Lotta Love
3. Velvet Revolver- Fall to Pieces

Ok so now that that is taken care of it's time to rock and roll.

Number 2- Aerosmith- Dream On

It wouldn't be a countdown without my favorite band of all time- the bad boys out of Boston- Aerosmith. Is there a bigger or better song to sing along with when this song comes on the radio or better yet, when you hear it live in concert, answer no. This song is just one of those songs that will stand the test of time and its just packed with emotion and musical swagger. Steven Tyler in my opinion is one of the best front men in music history and his vocals on Dream On are just epic.

You all know what part I'm talking about. The chorus to when he sings Dream On then does his little screeching part, it just hits you. And to hear him doing it live over 30 years after the song was released, he still nails it and it's the best song I've ever heard live and I've seen my share of shows. Aerosmith are just one of those bands that have proven they can survive the ever changing world of music but what makes them so special is that they are still getting the big requests for the classics and they sound just as good as they did nearly 30 plus years ago.

Dream On is one of the greatest songs of all time and a true rock masterpiece. It defines what rock and roll is all about, living the dream and dreaming bigger and better things. It's a true story of how far one man came and the success he wanted to achieve and would let nothing stop him. Aerosmith is currently on the road this summer with ZZ Top and you can rest assure they'll be pounding out their huge hit Dream On and that fans like me will still be singing it word for word.

Ok nine songs down one remains. We've seen the best of the best, but the top spot can only belong to one and it's a band with just three letters- GNR.

Number 1- Guns N' Roses- Sweet Child O' Mine

From the opening riff of guitar legend Slash to the uniquely distinct voice of Axl Rose, Guns N' Roses, launched rock and roll into another planet when they arrived on the scene with their debut album, Appetite for Destruction, which remains the biggest selling debut album of all time. With hits including Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City and of course Sweet Child O' Mine, how can it not. GNR hit rock and roll with a fury that no one had ever heard before. They quickly became the biggest band in the world but it all quickly faded away.

GNR was only around for seven years but left their ever lasting mark on rock and roll. Sweet Child O' Mine is a true rock ballad with just killer guitar work and awesome vocals. It's the complete rock and roll song. It hooks you with it's distinct riff and just never lets you go. Axl sounds absolutely terrific and then the rest of the band just add to the song's power.

Sweet Child O' Mine is my favorite song of all time and it's one I've listened to a million and one times. The song is so unique and is so sweet it's one of a kind. Even though they were around for a very short time they left us with some monster hits. Slash and Axl can't stand each other anymore but when the two of them were together they put out one of the bests rock and roll songs anyone has ever heard and no can can ever take that away from them. This song is a classic in every sense of the word and will be an anthem for many many more years to come.

Well that wraps up my Top 10 Favorite songs of all time but no worries, another countdown is in store. Just what that is I'm not sure but I'll think of something don't you worry. So keep on rocking in the free world my friends and remember never let anyone deny you that Stairway!

24 Recap: 3:00-4:00 A.M.

24: 3:00-4:00 A.M. Recap

Alright boys and girls, I'm kind of sad to report this hour of 24 wasn't that exciting for me. Yes we have a lot of new plot development but other then that I was kind of bored tonight. Jack informs Renee that Tony has been playing them all along and that is working for a group of people who we still don't know.

Hodges is also alive as doctors were able to stop the poison from spreading when he took that red pill so he is now being detained by the F.B.I. Medical facility and is yelling about how his family is now in danger. Thinking that they could use this to their advantage Jack and Renee approach the President about questioning him about to whom he is working for but in the same time they would need to give something to Hodges for his cooperation, an immunity contract, in which he would be let free but under federal supervision for the rest of his life.

Of course Olivia is outraged by all of this and gets into a rather heated confrontation with her mother, the President about this. The two get at it very well but in the end she orders her to go make sure the proper paper work is drawn up by the Attorney General. Olivia toward the end of the episode is shown making a call to an unknown man and they aren't really talking about what it is they want to happen but she does mention to Agent Pierce about taking out Hodges, so we shall see.

Tony and the mystery woman are shown and they want to move along with the plan and attack right away because the country is unstable. She must consult the people she is working for and after some heavy persuasion they all vote yes to carry out with the plan. Which we learn is that they will attack the country with the cannister and blame it on a random illegal immigrant who they seek out to capture tonight and to force him into their plan.

Back at headquarters things aren't going well for Jack and their investigation as they don't really have any leads. So President Taylor allows them to fire up the old CTU lines and thus Jack calls back in the long lost Chloe to help in making sure everything goes smoothly. In one of the moments of the night Janis and Chloe start to get into it and then Jack overhears her and just goes off on her which I thought was awesome. But its there where Jack says these lines were ordered by President David Palmer. Of course he is dead as we all know and Chloe notices that he says it twice and that something isn't right with Jack.

That is pretty much the theme of tonight's episode. Like I said it wasn't a very exciting episode but with just a few episodes left things are going to heat up and pick up quick I just can't wait. So until next Monday, happy viewing.

Heroes: An Invisible Thread: Recap

Heroes: An Invisible Thread season finale recap

***Spoilers ahead, please don't read if you haven't watched the finale***

So as an up and down season three comes to an end there were a few things left up in the air and of course a bunch of new questions established already for next season, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, because it's messy.

Tonight's episode starts off with Sylar framing Danko for this whole ordeal and transforms backs into that agent and then of course escorts Danko out of the building, thus allowing himself to roam about without a worry. Sylar has kidnapped Nathan and is going to meet with the President in order to shake his hand and take his shape. Things are kind of slowed down for Sylar when Claire arrives but has a hard time figuring out if it is her dad in front of her or someone else. Sylar being very clever uses his ability to get an object's history by just touching it. He talks to her about Mexico and then of course she starts to feel a little bit more comfortable but notices something when 'Nathan' goes back into the bathroom, most likely her dad's limp body on the floor.

Elsewhere Hiro and Ando are still on their quest to get to building 26 and to stop everyone from coming after people with abilities. But not all is right with Hiro as he continues to have repercussions every time he stops time. So of course he freezes time just one more time in order to free all the people who have been captured by Danko and his men. Danko and Noah are in the same holding cell after Noah drops off Angela and Claire after he spots something fishy. After Hiro and Ando free all the prisoners including Dr. Suresh, Suresh informs Hiro that he indeed is still human and needs to rest because his body is over doing it.

Danko and Noah appear to be on the same side and Danko pulls out some sort of 'elephant' tranquilizer and informs Noah that this will knock Sylar out because Sylar has moved the sweet spot in the back of his head, so that won't do. Danko all of a sudden sneaks up on Noah and as he is about to put the dart into Noah's neck, enter Hiro who freezes time and injects Danko with it. Hiro is left severely wounded and Noah sets out to find Sylar.

Sylar and Claire are now together and Sylar has made himself known to Claire after Claire spots 'Nathan' signing the sign in sheet left handed when Nathan himself is a righty. Sylar goes on to talk about how much they have in common and that who knows, one day she could come to love her and become her first first lady. The real Nathan and Peter enter the building and Nathan reveals himself to some fellow agents and they see that he can fly. Nathan and Peter head up to the room Sylar is in and as they arrive, the door opens and out flies Claire and of course just when we think we're going to see an epic battle between the Petrelli's and Sylar the door is shut, just a good way for NBC to cut back on cost, I'm sure.

As the battle concludes Claire reenters the room to discover that Peter is the sole remainder as Sylar and Nathan are no where to found. Nathan and Sylar land back in the room after Peter and Claire are gone and it is then when Sylar cuts his throat and Nathan dies. Angela arrives back at the room with Matt because she had a dream that Parkman will help save Nathan. She is a wreck upon seeing her dead son and they are too late. Sylar is back as Nathan and thus goes on to finish his quest to get close to shake the President's hand. He is stopped by a fellow agent but of course takes his identity and enters the car that has the President inside. The two shake hands and Sylar starts to be revealed as his power appears to be draining.

And all of a sudden the dart is forced into Sylar's neck and the President reveals himself to be Peter. That's right Peter has all of his powers and then some now, oh yeah. Sylar is knocked out and then something completely screwed up happens.

Angela along with Noah ask Matt to make Sylar think he is Nathan and permanently. Parkman is very skeptical about this but in the end he uses his mind power to convince Sylar that Sylar is dead, Gabriel Gray is dead and that he is Nathan Petrelli and only him. So of course Nathan reappears and all seems well. The copy cat guy who was still shape shifted as Sylar is the body they burn as all of the Heroes are surrounding the fire, without suspecting a thing.. Thus Volume Four ends...

VOLUME FIVE: REDEMPTION:

A mysterious agent enters his apartment to discover his water is running. And all of a sudden a puddle of water is moving across his floor and starts to take the shape of a human to unveil that's it's Nikki or Tracy or whatever her name is going to be, and it is there where she says, 'You're the fourth.' Back to Nathan's office where a headline in the paper says fourth mysterious agent death, so thus we know a story line heading into the next season of 'Heroes.' Angela arrives to go to lunch with Nathan and it is there where Nathan can't stop looking at one of these clocks and even realizes that it is running over a minute fast and he adjusts it. The two leave together for lunch and we fade to black...

TK's thoughts:

I loved the season finale. I thought things were wrapped up very nicely and can't wait to see where they take the show next and what kind of power Tracy/Nikki possess, because she can take a liquid form now. Danko isn't dead so it will be interesting to see if they bring him back for another season as I thought he added a lot of dimension to the show with his character. Will Sylar stay dead forever, or will small things trigger something inside him to realize that something is wrong. Sylar has always been too powerful so something tells me we haven't seen the last of him, thus meaning Nathan would be the casualty from this season. Either way I can't wait to see what happens next, and with Volume 5 being titled Redemption, God only knows what lies in store for us Heroes fans..

TK

Can you take me higher...

Ok I know I'll probably me made fun of but I love this band and they are back! Yes Creed and all four of their original members are back and in the process of recording a new album and get this are hitting the road this summer, and I'm excited. I've been jamming to Creed for the last hour and I think this is a pretty big deal. All four members are excited to be working together again and with nine number one hits, fans should be in for a real treat this summer. They are coming to Chicago August 30th but I haven't been able to pin point the exact spot yet. My guess is All State Arena or First Midwest Bank, but I'll keep you guys posted. So yeah that is the big news for music today, so get pumped!

TK's Top 10 Songs of All Time- Numbers 4 and 3

Well I hope you don't have a headache still from headbanging to Queen because the next two songs have arrived on my countdown. We just have 4 songs left but before we go any further here are number's 10-5 on my Top 10 Songs of All Time.

10. AC/DC- Whole Lotta Rosie
9.Van Halen- Ain't Talkin About Love
8. Led Zeppelin- Stairway to Heaven
7. Boston- More Then A Feeling
6. Pearl Jam- Black
5. Queen- Bohemian Rhapsody

Number 4- Led Zeppelin- Whole Lotta Love

'You need coolin, baby I'm not foolin, I'm gonna send you back to schoolin, way down inside, honey, you need it. I'm gonna give you my love, I'm gonna give you my love.'

Yeah enough said. The Zep are the only band to have two songs on my Top 10 Favorite Songs of All Time and for good reason. This song just kicks your ass from second one to its completion. The vocals of Robert Plant are flawless and the way he delivers this song is so tingling it's sweet. We all know what the song is about so don't pretend you're not impressed. And how can we not forget about Jimmy Page and the unbelievable guitar work on this song. The sounds he gets out of his guitar was something no one had ever heard before. The song is just so raw and powerful it all just rocks and works. And the drums, they are just in your face throughout the entire song.

This is my favorite song by them and it arrives at number 4 on my countdown. This is one of those songs that when you hear it come on the radio you can identify it within like a split second and that's what a classic is all about. The sound and pure distinction that Zeppelin has is undeniable and as I mentioned earlier when they were on the countdown they are legendary. This song is so distinct and just so full of pure emotion and power it earns a spot forever in the history of music. 'I'm gonna give you every inch of my love, gonna give you my love.'

Number 3- Velvet Revolver- Fall to Pieces
Well they are only like my second favorite band of all time and this to me is one of the best ballads of all time, so of course they were going to appear on my countdown. This song hits me every time I hear it and I just love this song. The message behind this song and the story is so powerful and not always known but its based on a true story. It is what the lead singer of VR, Scott Weiland has gone through in his personal life as he has been a drug addict for a long time and you can tell he has suffered and it comes so clearly through the songs lyrics. 'Every time I fallen down, all alone I fall to pieces.'

This song is kind of a downer because it deals with a very sensitive subject, but it's message is that you can persevere and come out of it a better person. Then throw in Slash's guitar playing and you have a masterpiece, his solo on this track is one of his very best. The song is just so good and its one of those songs that doesn't get tiring or drag. Listen to it if you've never heard it and you'll see what I'm talking about. Velvet Revolver has only been around since 2003 but they have put out some big time hits, including Slither and She Builds Quick Machines. But none are bigger and better then their power ballad, Fall to Pieces.

I just love the song's message and the lyrical genius of Scott Weiland. The band sounds great and it's one of the greatest songs I've ever heard performed live. It's truly one of the best rock power ballads in the history of rock and roll, so please click the link below to give it a shot for those who are unfamiliar with the awesomness known as Velvet Revolver.

So stick around as I will unveil the top two songs of my countdown tomorrow. The journey has rocked so far and the top two songs on my list will blow you away with how much they rock.

Hello lords and wenches

Sorry am on a medieval kick today as I went there this afternoon and I must say it was a gay ol time. It was a really cool experience except for the fact that our knight the red and yellow guy lost to the red knight. Who knew a swinging ball and chain could kill you? But yeah it was a very good time. The food was excellent and just like in old times we got to eat with our hands, it was awesome. If your ever in the mood to try something new I would highly recommend it and the price isn't that bad either. It's a good group event and only like a 45 minute drive, so not too far from the Tinley and Orland area.

So good night to my lords and wenches as I need to get back to work on my top 10 favorite songs of all time, numbers 3 and 4 coming tomorrow morning, so click back in the morning.

T Kiper Jr's draft recap..

Sorry for the tardiness folks but I had a first communion to attend this afternoon and it was a blast. But needless to say I've been glued to the television since 3pm and even the cell phone but not during church of course... wink. Well I have just finished going over the first two rounds with a fine tooth comb and here's what I have analyzed.

Let's take a look at the winners of this year's 2009 draft so far:

1. New England Patriots- Is there a better mastermind in football whose not named Bill Belichick, answer no. These guys just know how to draft and proved it again in the first two rounds by picking smart sound players. Most notably Ron Brace whose going to be an anchor for them on the defensive line and who can stop the run. They went with 3 defensive players along with 1 giant offensive tackle. Oh and did I mention they have 4, yes 4 3rd round draft picks tomorrow.

2. Denver Broncos- 5 picks, including two in the first round and yes the most important thing they used them wisely. I think Moreno the running back out of Georgia is a question mark but I think he'll be ok because Denver just shoots out running backs in their system. Ayers the defensive end from Tennessee is a machine and will wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks. The Broncos took advantage of having that many picks in the first two rounds and the Broncos made some noise.

3. Detroit Lions- How can you not choose them? They got one of the most fundamental guys in Stafford, who I think is going to turn into a very good quarterback along with a very solid tight end by the name of Brandon Pettigrew who will be a very solid football player and Louis Delmas a safety who has shown that he is a very capable safety and can play the position very soundly.

Worst Three-

1. No Brainer- OAKLAND RAIDERS. You have the 7th overall pick and you take Heyward-Bey over Crabtree? Are you kidding me? The two are complete opposites. Crabtree is ready to play in the pros while Bey has really proven nothing. The Raiders just showed that they aren't really interested in getting better and like every year they will find themselves picking in the top 10 again in 2010. Al Davis, you need to get your head out of the clouds and realize true talent when you see it. And then you draft a safety from Ohio? Yeah great job at finishing last again in the AFC West again.

2. NFC NORTH- Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears. Yes the Vikings took a risk at number 22 by signing Percy Harvin who likes to indulge in a little pot but I don't think they needed to address that position. Harvin is a major risk and is a guy whose in need of a major attitude adjustment. He can look brilliant at times but also showed periods of major inconsistency.

And yes the Bears. No not a Bears fan but they didn't even make a selection today and when they did they traded it away. The Bears have many holes they need to fill and didn't do anything to address them today. Sure you got Cutler, but he isn't going to do anything with no one to throw the ball too. Oh that's right you got Hester and Davis, yeah their great. But luckily your in the NFC North and that division is terrible so who knows you might just know what you're doing.

3. New York Jets- People are going to call me stupid for this but they gave up a lot to get a guy whose only started 16 games in his career. And at USC anyone can look good because they are the elite program in the country. He had talent around him and I just don't think he is going to be a great quarterback at the pro level, but does possess the talent to be a good quarterback but the Jets gave up too much. I do applaud them for taking a huge leap from 17 to 5 to acquire him because when you want a guy you got to make the right moves to obtain him.

And for my Miami Dolphins, I am happy with the draft. We needed a cornerback and went out and drafted Vontae Davis. He was one of the most highly rated corners entering the draft and plays the position very soundly and that is what my team needs in a division that is full of big time wide receivers. I'm very skeptical however with their first second round choice- Pat White. He will be mainly used as a slash player in the wild cat and their 3rd qb on the depth chart. I do like their last second round pick Sean Smith another cornerback. Our secondary gave up way too many deep balls last year and I think that Smith and Davis can shut some of those down. Gotta give my boys a B for draft day one.

Agree or disagree? Share your thoughts with me I'd love to hear what you guys think. How did your team do, feel free to let me know and you just know I'll comment back.

TK

I and the rest of the world called it..

Yes Matthew Stafford agreed to become a Detroit Lion, and I'm sorry Matt, but the 6yr/78 million dollar contract you just signed with only $41.7 million guaranteed should soften the blow. It was never a secret that the Lions were going to take Stafford, I mean lets be honest they didnt look at anyone else. With a talent like this, you can't afford to pass him up. He is going to have a good career, and I only say good because he has no surrounding pieces yet and that's going to take Detroit more then just the 2009 draft to correct.

I'm so giddy right now because I have such a passion for football and I'm actually going to be home to watch the draft tomorrow and I might even throw my own analysis on it, not sure yet. I know things but am no Chris Mortensen. The other thing I would like answered is when is the NFL going to establish some sort of salary cap for rookies. 41. 7 million guaranteed? That's 7 million more then Matt Ryan got from the Falcons last year. I think at that one point their is going to be some sort of rule established because the amount of money these kids are getting is outrageous.

All though I guess when you're Detroit you gotta offer a lot of money for a player to come play for your organization. But the NFC North is establishing itself for many years to come as the teams all boast some decent qb's. Bears- Cutler, Packers- Rodgers, Lions- Stafford. I think it's going to be fun to watch but as a Dolphins fan I am most looking forward to what we do with the number 25 pick tomorrow. Can't wait to watch the draft.

TK's Top 10 Songs of All Time- Numbers 6 and 5

Hey everybody hope your enjoying the countdown. Before I unveil the next two songs on my list here's what you may have missed so far on my countdown.

10. AC/DC- Whole Lotta Rosie

9. Van Halen- Ain't Talkin' Bout Love

8. Led Zeppelin- Stairway to Heaven

7. Boston- More Then A Feeling

Well folks the response was made known as two iconic songs clocked in at numbers 8 and 7. Stairway to Heaven and More Then a Feeling are two of the most popular songs ever and I just love them. It's going to be hard to top those two songs but I think I have found another way to do that, so crank up your volume and get ready to rock and roll. Now I proudly present numbers 6 and 5 on My Favorite Songs of All Time countdown.

Number 6- Pearl Jam- Black

Oh my God I love this song. Every time it comes on I just have to crank it up. Eddie Vedder is a front man genius and it shows on this classic Pearl Jam tune. The thing that gets me about this song is just the lyrical story it takes you on. He just is able to grip you as the listener and he never lets you go. It's such a powerful and moving song, and that's what music is about, passion.
Sure at times you can't always understand what Pearl Jam is singing about but who cares.

The melody and balance of the instruments used on this cut are second to none, and it's all capped off by the song's ending melody. Too doo doo too.. you know how it goes, and I'm sure that's not the correct spelling but hey I'll do what I want. I just love how the song comes to a close with that. Everyone can sing along and I do when I hear it. It's something that I dream about singing in concert live with Eddie one day.

Pearl Jam's Black is by far and away my favorite song of theirs and it has arrived at number 6 on my list. Everything about the song just gets me going and it just soothes me you know, and I just like that. Sure I love to rock but when a song like Black comes on the radio it kind of just mellows me out and it's kind of like a musical drug. Long live Black and Pearl Jam.
If you have never heard this classic song, click play and give it a listen:

Number 5- Queen- Bohemian Rhapsody

'Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality.' Yes the opening lines to one of rock's all time classic songs. If you're not a fan of Bohemian Rhapsody then get out. This song is the definition of what the word masterpiece means. From the vocals of one of rock's best front men ever- Freddie Mercury to the peaceful and then fierce guitar playing of Brian May, Bohemian Rhapsody has earned it's place in the hearts of millions. From it's place in pop culture, most notably Wayne's World, this song just hits you, and you guys know what I mean.

The journey of the song just builds and builds until it all unfolds into that head banging moment that don't fool yourself, you've done it in the car alone or with friends, hell I do it every time I hear it, and am not bashful to admit it. And then after all that awesomeness it brings it all back down again, it's such an experience. The song just pumps you up and then makes you feel so relaxed and its really the perfect driving song. The group's harmonizing humming is just something no one had ever heard before and it set the stages for bands to follow and to live up to.

Bohemian Rhapsody is one of those songs that will never get old or will never fade away. It is relevant anywhere at anytime and that's what music is all about. The staying power that Queen has left on music is legendary and no one will ever top their classic and iconic tune, Bohemian Rhapsody. 'Nothing really matters, anyone can see... nothing really matters to me.'
Go ahead, press play. You know you want too.

Okay folks, I know you're most likely just salivating at this point but you're going to have to wait until Monday for numbers 4 and 3, but I promise the top four are the awesome four, if that makes any sense. Thanks for viewing.

'The Office: Broke' Recap

The Office: 'Broke' Recap

'Nothing to fear I'm just a 44 year old guy with a paper route.'

Dunder Mifflin is falling apart as Michael Scott Paper Company is taking the clients away from Dunder Mifflin and Charles isn't happy. Charles and company get a visit from David Wallace and Charles seems a bit off his game. Was he not expecting an appearance by the boss? Major props to Jim for his kiss ass smooching that was awesome. Michael and company find themselves in need of a deliveryman but they have no money and can't afford to pay one. So they go to someone where he crunches their numbers and just tells them the facts that they aren't making any money and will be forced out of business.

Back at Dunder Mifflin, Dwight, Charles, Jim and David have a meeting of the minds where Jim's ideas are shot down. Dwight suggests that he fills Michael's office with bees so that doesn't really pan out. Pam meets with Jim and lets him know that they might have just a month left and that things aren't going well for her. She has applied for jobs at Walmart, Old Navy and Target and no one called her back. Dwight is determined to get the bees released and has a very elaborate plan at doing so, stemming around the queen bee, ha. David thinks the best option is to make Michael an offer and buy them out. They all decide to send Jim to meet with Michael to make them an offer. Michael responds, “Jim I can't make you laugh right now.”

Michael and company accept the proposition but can not let the brass know they are broke. Obviously Michael and Ryan don't know that Pam has already spilled the beans. 'How the turn tables...' absolutely sensational line right there. Now it's time to sit down and talk business, as Michael meets David Wallace and company face to face. David offers them 12,000 dollars and of course Michael rejects it. David knows that they are not doing well and he thinks its the best offer that he is going to get. Michael counters it actually very intelligently and wants to know how David is going to explain that his most profitable branch is leaking money and clients. David counteroffers it with 60,000 dollars.

Dwight gets a call from Jerry a client who has decided to leave Michael Scott Paper company and tells Charles that Michael's company is bankrupt. Dwight and Jim argue about how many cases Dwight has cracked including the famous beat bandit and Charles just looks at them and calls them both idiots. Michael rejects the offer and again they deliberate. Michael demands his old job back along with his parking spot and demands Charles fired. He also wants Pam back as a salesperson along with Ryan. Michael refuses to go quietly as if one company goes away he has plenty more company names where that came from. David agrees to those terms and the offer is done.

Upon hearing that Michael, Pam and Ryan celebrate and yell, and Jim smiles. So as the episode ends, Charles is about to start talking and Michael says you're done, awesome, way to go Michael.

All in all a very good episode of 'The Office.' Not quite sure how Charles is going to leave and if Michael is really going to get his job back because Charles knows that his company has no money. Things are going to get interesting around Dunder Mifflin and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Random notes from tonight's episode:

Dwight and Charles little back and forth was great, and when he says ' been there done that' referring to Angela that was classic.

I love the random foreign lady hoping into the van.

Love Pam's montage about the child driving into the tree.

Idiot idiot ring tone was priceless.

Michael's closing remarks about his dreams of starting a company and then selling it back to Dunder Mifflin.

Wow Jim, boner patrol.- Michael Scott

Happy Thursday everyone..

Hey guys thanks for checking out my two latest songs on my journey to unveiling my favorite song of all time. Led Zeppelin and Boston it doesn't get much better then that. Just wanted to let you guys know my 'Office' recap will be up tonight but probably after 9:30 or so depending on what time I get home, but don't worry I'll have it for you guys because I know how much you guys love to read it. So happy viewing tonight, I can't wait for the show!

TK's Top 10 Songs of All Time- Numbers 8 and 7

Well I think the countdown has gotten off to a good start wouldn't you folks agree? But I think it's time for me to take it up a notch, and I can't think of a better way to do that then with the next two songs on my Top 10 songs of all time. So enough sugar coating it, it's time to unveil numbers 8 and 7.

Number 8- Led Zeppelin- Stairway to Heaven

The most played song of all time folks has arrived and has earned a very secure spot on my countdown as there wont be any stairway denied here. The eight minute rock classic and ballad is known worldwide and how can you not love this song? It's one of the most recognizable songs in history and yes the most played. The thing that makes this song so great is Robert Plant's vocals. The way he tells the story and delivers it through his vocals is kind of eerie and memorizing at the same time, it's kind of bone chilling.

And of course I won't forget Jimmy Page and his amazing playing especially the solo at the end of the song. His guitar playing is just clearly out of this world and it shows more then ever on this song. The rhythm and drums also just add to the overall atmosphere that this song can take you and its out of this world. It goes from being so smooth in the beginning and generally builds and builds before erupting into a rock volcano.

Led Zeppelin defines what rock and roll is all about and in my opinion are the fore-fathers of the industry. Their songs including their biggest, Stairway to Heaven changed the way people listen to music and how bands create music after hearing Zep. Zeppelin did it all and left their mark on music and they are the only band to have two songs on my list. That's right more Zeppelin to come! I told you, no stairway denied!

Number 7- Boston- More Then A Feeling

I know what you think, what is better then Stairway to Heaven? Well I'll tell you, it's Bostons rock anthem, More Then A Feeling. The song just has that undesirable feeling, you know what I'm talking about guys. Like when you hear that song its just something comes over you. And it's a great feeling, no pun intended. There is not a single flaw with this song as all of it's aspects are perfect. From the drums to the guitar which is at rock's peak, it all works.

But the thing that highlights the entity of this song is Brad Delp Boston's lead singer. The man is one of the greatest front men of all time and its tragic that he took his own life two years ago. But his talent won't soon be forgotten and neither will his pipes on their most popular track. The lyrics are out of this world. “When I'm tired and thinking cold, I hide in my music forget the day and dream of a girl I used to know, I close my eyes and I slip away.” It all just works and it is delivered so passionately through the vocals. Not to mention the overpowering guitar work that is in the song.

More Then A Feeling earns its spot not just on my favorite songs of all time, but as one of the best songs of all time period. Everything about it just comes together and it has kept fans of rock and roll happy for many years. Long live Boston and I know that this song will be cranked up in my car with the windows down sooner then later.

Well folks four songs down, six to go and I promise it's only just getting started. The next two songs are iconic and have earned their place amongst history. So stay tuned as numbers 6 & 5 will be available tomorrow.

A rant about American Idol for a minute...

Ok so once again I rocked at picking the bottom three, well I got 2 out of 3, but I have a major issue with how tonight went down. First off, I correctly picked Lil Rounds going home but what gives with Allison being in the bottom three and not Matt? People have you listened no I should say compared the two of them vocally? She is a million times better then he is and shes only 16, he looks 30 something and he's a cheap imitation of justin timberlake. Why oh why is he still on the show, I can't believe that Allison was in the bottom three tonight while matt was sitting on the couch safe. If he doesn't go home next week, screw Idol that's all I got to say. Allison is way better then he is, he blows. That is all.

BOWLING RECAP, LIKE A TWINKIE TAKES NAMES

Yeah if you couldn't guess by the title my bowling team, 'Like a Twinkie' destroyed the other team tonight and man do I hate that guy on the other team. We took 5 out of 7 points and secured 1st place for the second half of the season. Which means we will be bowling next wed. for first place overall in the league and some good cash money, so wish us luck. We bowled great tonight as a team and it was highlighted by Brendans 258 & 250, sweet.

TK insight to some Hollywood projects

Well folks have been doing some reading online for the past hour and I have been coming across some good things about future studio projects. Just a brief summary of what I've been reading:

-Da Governor of Californa, Arnold is most likely making a cameo in the upcoming 'Terminator Salvation' flick. But you will have to pay close attention as the cameo is going to be quick and yes it will be with Bale (Connor).

-Speaking of Christian Bale he has just signed on to do a movie with Mark Wahlberg which is kind of bad news because that pushes back a third Batman movie at least another year, but the idea of him and Wahlberg on screen is very promising.

-Sam Raimi and company are getting ready to finalize the Spiderman-4 script with the idea of two villians being finalized, my guess it's going to be the Lizard and someone else, not sure yet. I just hope they can redeem themselves after the debacle that was Spiderman 3, my suggestion BRING BACK VENOM AND USE HIM PROPERLY!!!

-Harry Potter news, filming and production is underway for The Deathly Hallows and if you're not aware it's going to be split into two films. And the director has just arrived at the point where it's going to be split at and he says it will leave fans wanting more and that it's going to be a huge cliff hanger, so start guessing...

And on another note, the major TV networks are going to be announcing their fall schedules next month and keep it here for breaking news on your favorite shows that might be cancelled or might be saved at the last second, it's always an exciting time when the networks announce their schedules, at least for me.

Good night everybody, TK.

American Idol Top 7: Disco time

Well boys and girls I wasn't correct on my going home pick last week however I still got 2 of the bottom 3 correct, so that was a plus. Can't believe the judges used their save choice on Matt. Yeah his voice is just ok but he has no chance of winning this competition so someone explain their save choice on him. So this week we get two people voted off the Idol competition, so without further a due, lets get it on.

This week's theme is Disco week so put on your dancing shoes and I'll meet you on the dance floor.

-Lil Rounds, sings I'm Every Woman
Recap: Well no opening video for her this week. Again she comes out and sounds like a copy cat to me. She hasn't done anything to establish herself like Allison has and all the guys have. I think she has been on the show for far too long and her performance tonight doesn't earn her any credit in my book.
Judges: Randy says it sounds wild to him, Kara doesn't like it also, Paula says she fall a little flat as well, and Simon says this is going to be the last week we see her.
TK's take: I think is in trouble, but we'll wait to the end of the show to cast her into the bottom three. But I agree with Simon folks.

-Kris Allen, sings She Works Hard for the Money
Recap: Wow have you ever heard a song that sounds nothing like the original? That's exactly what Kris does tonight, and I kind of dug it. He totally makes it his own and gives it a new sound that is so unique and I think it is one fans will remember. And he sings it well so that's a plus also. Good job and I think his stock is rising.
Judges: Kara says it all pays off and is impressed, Paula rambles about shopping, (why is she a judge), Simon laughs at Paula and calls it original and calls it fantastic, and Randy says he is ready for the big time.
TK's take: Safe and moves into the Idol top 5.

-Danny Gokey, sings September
Recap: I love this song, anyways. Does a decent job with the song but I don't think it's one of his strongest vocals I've ever heard from him but it's nothing too bad. The thing I like about him is makes everything sound unique and that's something any good artist should be able too. Ends the song very well and does a solid job.
Judges: Randy says he turns it into something all Danny like, Kara calls him amazing vocalist, Paula likes it of course and says he has a sexy voice, and Simon does enjoy it except the performance wasn't special.
TK's take: Is one of the true artists on the show and is safe into the final 5.

-Allison Iraheta, sings Hot Stuff
Recap: She just sounds sexy tonight, and looks it, wait she's 16 I'm being informed, moving on. This song is a true disco song and she adds her own spice to it. I think she rocks the track and proves why she is the best female on the show and one of the best on the show. Has amazing pipes to say the least. Great performance tonight.
Judges: Randy doesn't love the arrangement but calls her one of the best singers, Kara is a puppet to Randy, Paula enjoys it and says she hit it off the chart, Simon says that was a brilliant performance.
TK's take: She smashes the song tonight and we will be seeing her hot stuff in the final five.

-Adam Lambert, sings If I Can't Have You
Recap: The man, myth and legend takes the stage. He slows the song down a lot and it works in the beginning. He keeps the tempo at such a good rate it works so well, he hits the big notes and provides us with the screams that we all love. You want to talk about moment songs, that might of just been one tonight, it was an amazing performance.
Judges: Randy says he is ready right now, Kara just says brilliant, Paula who I think was crying says he is fascinating, brilliant and loves him, Simon calls it original and says we will remember it and says vocals are immaculate.
TK's take: He has become my favorite on the show, was number 2 behind Danny but he is amazing. Easily safe this week and the next ones also, great job.

-Matt Giraud, sings Staying Alive
Recap: Fitting song choice as he was saved last week. I think he does an ok job this week but his voice has kind of run its course with me. He really can't sing disco and for choosing a Bee-Gees song he should of killed it this week but I think he falls a bit short and could be in danger again this week. Just an average performance from Matt.
Judges: Randy didn't love the song choice but says he can really sing, Kara says he brings disco back and calls it good, Paula compares him to bowling, says his performance was a strike, Simon doesn't like the performance and doesn't think it was that great.
TK's take: I agree completely with Simon, I think he is going to be back in the bottom three for the second week in a row if not worse.

-Anoop Desai, sings Dim All the Lights
Recap: Another contestant who has his ups and downs. And I must say this performance was alright. Song choice was kind of weak as this song is way too slow and not a very vocally challenging song. It became rather boring and not the best way to end the show, but he does enough that people will probably keep him around for another week.
Judges: Randy says he can sing, Kara loves the song choice, Paula loves the look and says it was a good vocal, Simon calls it mediocre at best.
TK's take: Not his best, but does enough to remain on the show.

Best performance of the night: Adam Lambert by a mile. It was original and unique and he just keeps it rocking every week.

Worst performance of the night: Matt Giraud and Anoop Desai tie for it.

BOTTOM THREE:
-Lil Rounds
-Matt Giraud
-Anoop Desai

Well two are going home this week and I think this is the week I'll go 2 for 2, not too confident huh?
I think Idol says goodbye to Lil Rounds and Matt Giraud this week because lets face it neither one is as good as the remaining five and don't stand a chance at ultimately winning this show.

TK's Top 10 Songs of All Time- Numbers 10 and 9

Well folks after the very popular and highly debated inaugural TK countdown of my 'Top 10 Comedies Since I've Been Alive- 1986,' I have now turned my attention to something near and dear to my heart music. And what better way to celebrate music then by counting down my Ten Favorite Songs of All Time. Sorry but there will be no rap or country songs on this countdown, because well they just don't have what it takes to crack this list. But if you're a fan of rock like me, well you're in for a treat my friends. The songs you are about to see I guarantee will melt your faces off. This list has no year restrictions and it's solely my favorite songs. So enough of me and on with the countdown...

Number 10- AC/DC- Whole Lotta Rosie

The Australian band from down under with a noise all their own. AC/DC is one of the greatest bands of all time and their songs are legendary but none more to me then their 5 minute plus jam session about a woman who just needs a little loving and she ain't on the small side. Whole Lotta Rosie is a perfect example of just how good of a guitarist Angus Young is. There are about three individual solos offered up in this epic rock piece and all are just balls out to the wall and quite fun to play in the AC/DC Rockband track pack I must say.

The opening riff of the song hooks you from the moment it is unleashed and it never lets you go. Bon Scott serves up his uniquely sounding voice on this track and he will forever leave his impact on rock and roll however short if might have been. But what makes this song so awesome is just the guitar work. I love guitar solos and guitar riffs and this song accumulates them all and its just so wonderfully intertwined within the song. The breakdown is amazing as it continues to get quiet, then slowly builds back up before unleashing into another Angus solo that it's just so spine tingling it's kind of erotic, sorry I'm getting carried away I know, but listen to the song and tell me you don't feel the same.

While this is the only AC/DC appearance on my countdown I can't think of a more fitting way to start it off. They are still at the top of their game and I would know as I saw them last October as they blew the ceiling off of All-State Arena. Whole Lotta Rosie is just a kick ass in your face rock anthem that if you don't start playing air guitar, have someone check your pulse to make sure you're alive.

Press play to hear the shredding Angus and company:

Number 9- Van Halen- Ain't Talkin' Bout Love

Ah yes one of the most dysfunctional bands in rock and roll history. Putting that all aside, there aren't many groups out there that have had the success VH has had, and I'm not talking Van Hagar. David Lee Roth is the originator and the showmen that rock had never seen before. From his on stage performances to his way with the ladies, they had it all. Oh yeah and they had this guy named Eddie Van Halen who is one of the top 5 guitar players in history.

And his playing shows through quite well on their smash hit, Ain't Talkin Bout Love. The song grips you from the start with the back and forth cord playing and smashes right into the drums. Eddie's sound is so unique you know even just a second into the song it's Van Halen, and that's something that a band can be proud of. The reason I love this song so much is just it embodies all the good parts of a great rock song. From the lyrics to the rhythm section, this song is just a flashy rock song. Eddie's guitar work is so well done on the song and not to mention pretty fast.

The song tells a story and I'm a sucker for stories in a song, but it's not something soft and wimpy because that's not Van Halen. The slow breakdown in the song is great. “You got to got to bleed for it baby, hey you got to got to bleed for it baby.” It hooks you and its simply an anthem, no escaping it. While Van Halen has many great tunes, this one is my favorite of theirs by far. The ending with the rolling drums and the screeching guitar just close out the song so well. '24' Recap: Jack vs Tony

'24' 2:00-3:00 A.M. Rewind

Well boys and girls the thrill ride that is '24' just keeps on kicking ass. Tonight's episode was another one hour action pack edge of your seat roller coaster. There was a lot that happened during this past hour so lets do a little recap shall we?

Renee and Jack learn that Agent Moss has died in the gunfire altercation with the man who is in tied to Tony. The two are working together and their main job is to protect that cannister at all costs. Renee is now in charge and she and her team along with Jack head out to the crime scene to capture the guy responsible in the secured perimeter. Renee and Jack have a might heart to heart talk on the helicopter because Jack knows just how Renee feels but she tells him do not tell me how to feel. Ease up on the guy, he's dying you bitch, sorry I'm getting off track.

Upon arriving on scene Jack is suspicious of how this whole thing went down and Tony tells them his side of the story that still leaves Jack scratching his head. The bullet casings do not match up and Jack thinks that there is another man working with the suspect. Jack's medical condition continues to get worse with each passing minute and has to administer another shot to himself to control his shaking. Tony consoles him, man what a creep, I can't wait till Jack pays a little visit to Tony later on in the season. Jack gets a phone call from the man who is debriefing him back at the F.B.I. And wants to know about a name that Jack gave him because all the facts are not adding up right.

The FBI get a phone call from the 'suspect' who has disguised himself as one of the agents and leads them right into the building that he has just wired with C4 explosives. Jack is looking at real time tracking of all the agents and sees that the man who is supposed to be in the building watching the suspect isn't even in the building, so Jack calls off Renee's search but is too late as the building explodes killing numerous agents but Renee is safe. Jack realizing what is going on now knows that someone is helping this man and ultimately arrives at the conclusion that it's Tony. Jack confronts Tony after Tony escorts his partner with the cannister onto an ambulance and Jack pulls a gun on Tony. He knows that Tony is helping the guy but his condition interferes and we learn that scum bag Tony has taken his medication away from him so Jack goes into a seizure and Tony tells him that he didn't want to hurt Jack and that he should of stayed out of his way.

Back at the White House, Hodges gets a visit from his 'attorney' who isn't really his attorney but instead someone working with these people whom we haven't met yet, although the one guy she's talking too is the coach from 'Remember the Titans' so that was cool to see him. Coach Yoast ha, that's his name. Anyways she is there to offer Hodges a chance to escape it all and protect his family at the same time. She offers him a suicide pill that will leave no traces in his system and that way Starkwood his child, will live on and maintain some sort of Patriotic status. Hodges after asking a soldier how his men fought aside one another finds comfort in his answer and takes the pill. He doesn't die however, so it will be interesting to see how he is rescued/kept alive.

Other notes from tonight:

-We learn that Kim is married and has a baby girl named Terri. It was sad to hear her not tell Jack that because it would of just been too much for Jack to handle knowing that he has a granddaughter he hasn't met yet.

-Kim is going to back and save her father, she has too much heart not to do that.

-How did no one recognize the guy leaving with Tony? Weren't they all provided with photo I.d.'s of the suspect, I guess not?

'24' sets the standard for television drama and this season has been amazing. Next week's episode looks killer as Jack meets Hodges so you know that's going to lead to something memorable. Renee and Jack are going to kiss soon I think because there is something there and the two of them can't deny it. I hope that Jack gets to meet his granddaughter because well he deserves it. Another solid episode in an already stellar season, keep it up '24.'

'Heroes' I Am Sylar recap

Heroes: Will the real Sylar please stand up!

Is it me or are Sylar themed episodes the best ones? Major props to Zachary Quinto aka Sylar for his acting skills, because they are just superb. In tonight's Sylar style episode of Heroes, we dive deep into the brain of our favorite villain and learn that yes the man is estranged to say the very least. We go back 18 hours before Sylar's address to the nation as Nathan just to see what Sylar has been up too.

Sylar is encountering some major problems from his shape-shifting power as his D.N.A. Always doesn't come back to normal and after changing into the agent he apparently has grown another tooth. Danko and Sylar seem to start getting on each other's nerves because Danko doesn't see Sylar as anything more then a toy for his own personal gain. Sylar goes on his quest to find people with powers before Danko does and encounters a man name Tom who has quite a unique power. He holds his hand and fingers in an apparent snapping position and once he snaps things just disintegrate. Pretty cool. So of course Sylar warns him that agents are on the way and offers him an ultimatum to join him or be caught.

Tom of course falls for Sylar's proposal and cue the saw your head off trick and Sylar takes his ability. Danko arrives on the scene to see 'I Am Sylar' written on the walls in blood and love the line that Sylar gives, 'The guy has quite an ego.' Danko and Sylar discover that Tom received a text message from 'Rebel' and then they turn their sights on him. Danko and his team learn the wear abouts of Rebel and set off to find him. I loved the first ever encounter between Micah and Sylar and just how interesting it was to see this young kid have such a profound impact on Sylar. He reminds him that he is one of then, a guy with abilities and that he isn't alone, something Sylar needs to hear because he doesn't have anyone.

Sylar allows Micah to escape by shape-shifting into Micah and drawing Danko and his men toward him where they open fire on him and then they assume they dispose of him. Another major thing I'd like to touch on tonight was the back and forth Sylar and his 'mom' had tonight. Sylar is really hurting because he has no one to share his life with and is all alone.

His mother forgives him for killing her, because she thinks it was an accident and Sylar says it was no accident and that he wanted to kill her because she looked at him like a monster. The struggle that Sylar goes through is quite sad in a way because deep down he can be good but he just doesn't realize it, but I think Micah might of shown some light on the situation but that is yet to be seen.

Switching gears for a minute, Hiro and Ando along with Matt Parkman are all struggling to discover what it is they should be doing next. Hiro of course wants to be the hero while Ando has grown very tired of being the sidekick to Hiro. Hiro and Ando set out to go to Building 26 while Matt decides to take his baby back home because he wants to be there as his child grows up.

Hiro again tricks Ando into being bait so that the agents will lead the two of them to their hide out. Hiro at the conclusion of tonight's episode seems to have something gone horribly wrong as when he tries to freeze time he gets a major brain pain we'll call it along with a nose bleed, so things for Hiro have just gotten very bad.

Back to present time Nathan flies back to his office where of course Nathan 2 is waiting for him. Sylar explains to Nathan that he has been a bad boy and knows he has turned on his own kind before. Just as about Sylar is to dispose of Nathan Danko takes him out with a stun gun and also throws a knife into the back of Sylar's head only to find out he has missed and Sylar wakes up and says 'That hurt.” End episode.

Other thoughts from tonight:

Matt has decided to go help Hiro and Ando which I think is the smart thing to do and it will be interesting to see how the end all plays out.

Someone is going to die next week and I just want to know who, because I can't wait.
There seems to be a big brawl scheduled next week involving Sylar and many of our heroes so that should be interesting.

Also, was Claire and Noah getting captured at the end of tonight's episode? Couldn't really tell, and watch out because the camera focused on Angela sleeping so you know she is dreaming!

With next week's episode being the season finale, there are still some deaths to occur. Who I don't know but I do have theories, one of them being Nathan or Hiro dying. The last few episodes of 'Heroes' have become just what fans deserve. I think this show is back on track and am dying to see next week's season finale. So stay tuned fellow Heroes fans, as the show is going to end with a bang.

A quick little TK take on 'Family Guy'

Wow, did anyone else watch the new episode of 'Family Guy' tonight? It had to deal with legalizing marijuana and just the whole show in general was fantastic, and got back down to just how funny and classic that show can be. From the whole Quagmire cat stuff, to Peter shaving theh cat, which I almost fell out of the chair because I was laughing so much, to when Brian needs to pass a random drug tests, so he enlists Stewie's help. The line, "Stewie I need your pee," and Stewie responds, "Really?" And strips down to his clothes, one of the funniest moments in the shows history. Truly a great show, and I haven't even mentioned the song they did tonight, 'Everything is better with a bag of weed.' There were a lot of dirty jokes hidden in that song not to mention Stewie mocking Helen Keller, my God, is there anything that show won't touch? Oh I thought it was funny but it just leaves you scratching your head.

The whole Brian's novel thing with the Oprah sticker was spot on tonight and another classic moment was when Stewie had to bite his tongue when talking about Brian's novel because it's just so good... Loved the episode tonight and loved Ollie Williams and his pot weather update, it was a very eye opening episode to say the least and it left me a tad hungry also come to think of it!

Terrific episode tonight and it raises the debate to whether or not marijuana should be legalized and in my opinion, I 100% say absolutely not. Agree or disagree let me know...

Friday night insight..

Man what a day. It was full of its ups and downs but all in all a great day. I couldn't believe the weather outside today. This was the first day of 2009 that I can recall that I rolled down both my windows cranked up the radio and just drove. The drive to Lewis again to go on the radio this afternoon was a very relaxing one, so that was nice. Nothing like a good drive to just settle one down you know what I mean?

Had a blast talking entertainment with Marty on his radio show this afternoon, and I think I might be putting the audio up sometime soon, of course assuming I can figure out how to do that, so we shall see.

Went to Harrah's again tonight just because I felt like I could catch lightning in a bottle twice but that didn't happen, but hey I only lost 20 bucks, and that money was from the casino a couple of days ago so it's all good. Well gotta be at work at 8:30 tomorrow so best be off to bed. Until Sunday which will be the next time I blog, most likely about 'Family Guy' adios.

P.S.
Looks like the next Top 10 countdown is going to be my top 10 songs of all time, and oh yeah it's going to be epic.

TK's 'Top Comedies Since I've Been Alive- 1986.' Numbers 2 and 1

8 movies down 2 remain on my 'Top 10 Comedies Since I've Been Alive, 1986.' This countdown has been very fun to do and I will hopefully be debuting a new countdown within a couple of weeks. But let's stay focused shall we. With only two spots left I don't want to waste another second of your time, so first, let's take a recap of numbers 10 through 3.

10. National Lampoons Christmas Vacation- Year released 1989
9. Role Models- Year released 2008
8. 40 Year Old Virgin- Year released 2005
7. Ace Ventura- Year released 1994
6. Dumb and Dumber- Year released 1994
5. Old School- Year released 2003
4. Wayne's World- Year released 1992
3. Anchroman- Year released 2004

So without further a due, I proudly cap off the countdown with numbers two and one.

Number 2- Superbad (Year released- 2007)

Yes the movie that changed the face of comedy in my opinion. This movie is absolutely laugh out loud funny and it should be noted that it is funny throughtout the entire movie, something all comedies don't do. The scenes, oh my God where do I start and the lines, too many to list. Yes 'Superbad' has it all and how can it not. Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, play the perfect teenage kids trying to just score some female companionship and a good night of drinking. It's the perfect young adult movie and it is something everyone can relate to because hey we've all been there.

The two play off eachother so well and then we are introduced to McLovin, who is the greatest person ever. He is so nervous but then becomes a man by the end of the movie, and it is such a great transformation. Throw in Bill Hader and Seth Rogen as the two police cops and you have a hit comedy movie on your hands. The quest that McLovin and then the two guys set out on make the movie because the main reason behind it all is to get laid, and hey that's not a terrible reason to put your life on the line to get booze, right?

'Superbad' is just so great I can't stop smiling. If I started too list lines from the movie I couldn't stop. The movie is so simple and not too complex which also plays into the movies advantage. It's a very simple story line and it doesn't get too crazy because everything that happens in the movie could really happen to a kid in real life, well maybe not getting drunk and shooting stop signs with police officers, but hey you never know. 'Superbad' was one of the easiest choice when formulating this list and now that number 2 is done, it's time too move on to the number 1 movie. DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!!

Number 1- Wedding Crashers (Year released- 2005)

This wasn't a hard decision at all, and it is actually the first movie I penned down on paper when coming up with the list. Vaughn and Wilson are the best on screen pair ever. Their job, is legendary and the characters they play I'm sure are now being used by wedding crashers worldwide. This movie was so well thought out and played out it's sick. Every scene in this movie has comedy behind it and the lines and methods that Vaughn and Wilson use and say are so outrageously funny it hurts. I've seen this movie like 20 times and it doesn't get old or it doesn't become stale.

Vaughn is the mastermind behind improving and I think that comes across in the movie. Oh before I go on, yes my wife Rachel McAdams is so awesome in the movie as well, not to mention her younger sister Gloria played by the amazing Isla Fisher. And then throw in Christopher Walken as their father, oh my god, comedic genius. The best part about the movie aside from the comedy is the story it tells of how this party animal, Wilson, falls in love with this girl from the moment he sees her. It's not about hunting this chick to get in her pants, it's about hey he realizes that this business is getting old and that this woman could very well be the one he spends forever with, and hey I like it.

It happens for Vaughn as well as he becomes freakishly attached to Gloria. Maybe it's not the conventional way as when he asks to take his relationship to the next level, Gloria assumes he wants to do it with another woman, which hey God bless, but she doesn't quite get it haha. 'Wedding Crashers' is so good start to finish it is the most deserving of the 10 movies by far. The movie never stalls or hits any rough patches and keeps you laughing from start to finish. From the girls in proper hats to playing a touch game of football and of course to the dinner scene where our character is well played with under the table, it has it all.

So thanks to all for reading my 'Top 10 Comedies Since I've Been Alive, 1986' countdown it's been fun. So do you guys agree with my top two? Please let me know and I look forward to more countdowns in the future.
