'24' Recap: Father meet Daughter, and Tony how dare you...

'24' Recap 1 A.M. - 2 A.M.

Dear Lord my friends, that was one of the single greatest hours of television history. It had anything and everything that has made '24' the best drama in television history, that's right the best drama in television history. Go ahead and try to argue it with me, you won't win, this show is just so good and it never ceases to amaze me. Well enough gloating let's take a look back at tonight's eventful hour.

We'll start with Mr. Hodges. He arrives tonight at the White House to meet with Madam President, after nearly all the Joint Chief members have begun to question her decision on why to withdraw the air strike. Hodges presents the President with a booklet of information that basically outlines Starkwood having in it's hand in all of the United States defense planning in the states and global. Hodges clearly reiterates that he is there not to negotiate but to get a deal done and to get his message across that he is there so he can protect the people of the nation that he loves very much. Yet he has killed hundreds of United States citizens.

Back at the F.B.I. Jack's condition is just deteriorating before our eyes and those of Renee's. Renee and Jack get word that they must pull Tony out of the Starkwood perimeter but Tony notices that the guys are fueling up an underground pump with 'ground missile' fuel. (I forgot what's it called.) So determined to stop Hodges plan, Tony plans to go underground and blow up the fuel tanks with some of the C-4 that he has stashed. He kidnaps one of the guards who leads him to the tanks where he successfully blows them up and Agent Moss and his team rolls in to secure the perimeter.

Now comes the moment that '24' fans have been waiting or all season, or at least me, because I knew she was coming back. Agent Walker announces to Jack that Kim, his daughter, is waiting for him down the hall. Jack is outraged and pulls Renee aside saying he didn't want to drag her into the middle of this. We learn that Kim has been trying to track down Jack for months because she misses her dad. Then the two finally meet. It has been so long and it was one of the most emotional scenes in '24' history. The two are so happy to see one another again but Jack's symptoms start to act up and begs his daughter to leave, because he doesn't want her to see him like that, he is too proud.

We all know that Kim is going to risk herself to provide any chance of a cure for her dad, so that will be interesting to see how that works. Jack breaks down once she leaves the room and how can you blame the guy who has gone through so much and has never had anyone in life to ultimately share it with. It was one of the most heart-felt scenes in recent memory.

Back to the shocker of the evening, and major props to Dave who has called it all along. Agent Moss and Tony are tracking one of the escaped guards from Starkwood who is now carrying a container of the pathogen. Gun shots ensue and Moss is hit. As he is struggling to tell Tony the gunmen is coming, Tony waves his hand to the gunmen and he stops. SPOILER ALERT- Tony is still a bad guy. He covers Moss's mouth and goodbye to Agent Moss.

Now with Tony's attentions realized, what is next for '24'? Jack is on death's doorstep and someone is going to have to put the puzzle pieces together to figure out what is going on, and how they are going to regain the lost canister. I've said all along that the season will end with Jack killing his long time friend Tony, but who knows.

That was arguably one of my top 5 favorite episodes of '24' ever. From Jack reuniting with Kim, to Tony turning on us all, '24' has once again claimed stake to why it's one of the most watched shows on television. I hope you all enjoyed this hour as much as I did, and I can't wait for next Monday... cue the 24 clock ticking...
