'24' Recap: Jack is not well...

My apologies to my loyal '24' recap followers, as I was being detained in a hotel room by some girl trying to not let me leak this recap, weird huh?

Where oh where to begin this week? The CTU/Starkwood standoff hits a breaking point this week as Hodges gets in Moss's face as he insists that the FBI is trespassing on private property and they have weapons and are not afraid to use them. So of course Starkwood wins out and forces the FBI to leave immediately or else the poop is going to hit the fan. So of course Agent Moss creates a distraction in order for Tony to stay behind in order to snoop around some more, and find where the real weapons are located.

Back at CTU the symptoms begin to show for Jack as he has uncontrollable shaking spells and it all ends with him having a seizure on the floor. From there we learn that there might, just might be a preventative treatment for our hero as there is some experimental drug using stem cells that might save his life. The only twist is, it has to come from a blood relative, and in this case it's Jack's daughter Kim, who spoiler alert (will be back on the show in a couple of weeks.)
Jack and Renee get into a confrontation outside the doctor's room where her emotions for Jack I think show through her rather tough exterior, just like Jack's. Jack insists that Renee doesn't know what she is talking about, but she just counters that he is just going to go and do nothing while he's dying. Jack explains that him and his daughter do not talk and he won't tell her because he doesn't want her to get involved with all this. But we know different now don't we...

Olivia and her devilish ways of doing things is up to it again this week, although it's her devilish ways that are called to a hotel room in order to prevent the news from leaking a story on just why the Joint Chiefs are meeting all of a sudden in the middle of the night. The port security guy has apparently come forward with information about a weapon of mass destruction, and he wants to leak it into the press. Of course this would cause a mass panic, and Olivia is forced well to make love to the guy, which she has done before we find out, and of course that's not all she has up her sleeves.

After the deed is done, we find out that he plans on leaking the story still to the press, and good ol' Olivia shows that she filmed the two of them, kinky and smart, and vows to tell everyone including his wife if he leaks the story again, have a nice day indeed!

Things are put into overdrive when we find out that the weapons are indeed on the Starkwood base and Tony using his phone shows the canisters to everyone as Jack identifies them, and the President orders a air strike on the base, to burn any traces of the weapon and its pathogen. Well of course, Hodges and his goons get on the phone with the President and offer a massive ultimatum which forces the President to cancel the air strike. Was Hodges bluffing or is he just playing a back and forth game with the President?

We find out that the two of them will meet next week and only God knows how that exchange is going to go down, and it seems that Jack gets worse, thus the need to see the gorgeous Elisha Cuthbert as Kim Bauer, hell yeah!

This week's episode was one of the best yet this season, as this show just only continues to improve each week. With just a handful of episodes left, here's hoping to a cure for our favorite and unstoppable hero, Jack Bauer!
