Well my apologies to my loyal 'Office' recap followers, as I was out at Bourbon Street last night and didn't get the chance to witness the 'Office.' And what a great episode it was. Tonight pitted the Master vs. the apprentice in Michael vs Dwight and it didn't disappoint. So on with tonight's episode entitled 'Heavy Competition.'
I think that the cheese puff opener was one of the top openers in the show's history. I thought it was so funny especially when Michael tossed it behind his back to Ryan, I wonder how long it took them to film that right ha. So things are slowing down at the Michael Scott Paper Company and Michael is secretly meeting with Dwight to gather information on some of his former clients in hopes of luring away some to his new business. Dwight of course can't betray Michael because he has always been his hero and one he looks up too.
So after a meeting between Charles and Dwight where Charles compliments Dwight for his work ethic and would like to offer Dwight more of a work load, another meeting is set up between Dwight and Michael where Charles surprises Michael and warns him to stop bothering his sales team for information, or else. Loved the line Michael says, “I understand nothing.” It is from there where Michael who is actually a rather smart businessman decides to go after Dwight's biggest client but of course starts a war with Dwight. Cue, prank time and war. It's really like Poland you know? God I love Dwight.
Michael and Dwight meet again in the spot 100 feet toward the sun and Michael to ensure that the conversation is not being recorded asks Dwight and it is then where he pulls up his shirt and reveals he is clean and his pants also drop to his ankles, that was awesome. Dwight offers to take the staff of Michael Scott paper company out to lunch and it is there where he sabotages their office and steals a bunch of client information from Michael. Well having none of that, Michael goes back to basics and drives to meet the top client in person tagging Dwight along on speaker phone so that he can hear his client join Michael.
Dwight arrives only to embarrass himself when he asks the man about his gay son. Little do we know that Michael Scott color coats his index cards so that he knows what and what not to talk about. Green means go, orange means orange you glad I didn't talk about that. Genius, pure genius if you ask me. The two seem to leave tonight's episode with Michael talking to the client and what appears to be him successfully luring him away from Dunder Mifflin.
Back to the best part of the show tonight, Jim and Andy. Jim is down in the dumps lately about the whole situation with Pam and Andy picks up on it and offers his masterful love opinions. They decide to go bargain hunting with all of the things Andy had left from his shambled wedding including the great accapella style You Can Call me Al. That was so funny, and only a 9000 dollar cost. Of course Jim is just messing with Andy but Andy tries to console him.
They talk about love and why Pam is being so pushy. He is scared that Jim is going down a road he shouldn't be. Great Jim line- “am I going down a road?” Love the end when everyone tells Andy that Jim is messing with him and cue Jim behind the door smiling, it was such a perfect ending to it all and Jim tells Andy that he knows he is still upset because of his breakup with Angela and tells Andy that he will find someone new trust me.
Other memorable moments from tonight:
When Pam and Ryan point to the note pad that Dwight is talking about Michael, that was great.
Dwight- It's not a dress code, it's a death sentence, on his new attire.
Dwight- When Michael was in charge, this place was like the roman empire, and the wild west and the war torn Poland. Classic line!!!
Jim to Andy, “It's scary how right the things you're saying are. And you're coming at me with no knowledge of course, I trust your opinion on this.”
All in all another solid episode of 'The Office'. I love the war between Dwight and Michael and of course the masterful trickery between Jim and Andy.
Love the cheese puff thing and of course the morning cheer at the Michael Scott Paper Company.

i have to admit, this season of the office is excellent, but i do feel it has lost a little bit of its luster since michael moved out. I have been watching some of the earlier seasons and i do not thing that you can beat the comedy of a chicken mounting a mouse watermark. Your the man Timbo.
