If you're a fan of superhero movies like I am, then today is a big day. There has been a lot of news released from Marvel and Sony studios respectively concerning some major film franchises scheduled over the next 3-4 years.
With the success of Iron Man and the Hulk, Marvel has set up a new schedule for three of it's biggest movies including the highly anticipated movie the Avengers, which now has a different release date.
Below is the current timetable for Marvel's Superhero movies:
IRON MAN 2- MAY 7, 2010, (release date is still the same as previously announced)
THOR- JUNE 17, 2011, (release date was changed almost a year)
THE FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA- JULY 22, 2011 (also pushed back a year)
THE AVENGERS- MAY 4, 2012 (also pushed back a year)
What this does is this establishes three consecutive years of movies for Marvel setting up the Avengers which is going to be the first true movie of it's kind, featuring all of it's biggest superheroes including Thor, Captain America, and of course Iron Man.
In Iron Man news, in addition to what I posted late last night about Mickey Rourke signing on to play a villian in IM2, the movie has added another big name actress to play The Black Widow, and it's the very gorgeous Scarlett Johansson, who has replaced Emily Blunt.
So who else can't wait for these movies, I know I can't... and there is always the rumble of the next Batman movie in the works, but nothing is set in stone, but believe me I'll keep you all posted.

I heard they are gong to be rebooting Fantastic 4...already. Word is it is going to be more 'dark' and 'gritty' like The Dark Knight. Also no Jessica Alba.
