Ah my first Office recap! The Office this season has had it's ups and downs and tonight's episode was one of the up's of the season. The show is getting better week in and week out as they are building up to something big. What that is I won't say because I don't want to spoil anything, but the show is building towards it.
In tonight's episode called 'Golden Ticket' we find Michael slipping 5 golden tickets into random paper packages for 10% off their total order. What results in it is a terrible mistake, as all five golden tickets wind up at their biggest clients door. Well seeing that this is a mistake David Wallace finds out and immediately calls Michael out on the tickets. Michael only caring for himself at this point is afraid for his job and recruits his loyal employee Dwight to take the blame for him. Of course Dwight at this point in his career isn't as easily manipulated by Michael as he once was, and is very reluctant to helping Michael out.
So when David Wallace comes to Scranton to have a talk with Michael in the end it's Dwight who takes the blame, but turns out it's not blame at all. David Wallace informs Dwight that the company has made Dunder Mifflin it's exclusive paper company and office supply business which thrills David, and leaves Michael speechless. Dwight takes credit in front of the entire Office staff and of course everyone takes part in congratulating Dwight and mocking Michael, great stuff, esp all the Willy Wonka stuff. It all comes to a head when Dwight is on a conference call with some of the marketing people and Michael rudely interupts claiming Dwight stole the idea from him and that it was his and his alone. Michael in the end gets credit but David Wallace just heads back to New York.
OTHER NOTES:
Finally, a that's what she said involving David Wallace and Dwight, that's a big one, that's what she said!
The bickering back and forth tonight between Kevin, Jim, Pam and Andy was great and classic Office bantering. Kevin who clearly likes the woman from the valentine's party has no idea on how to proceed with asking her out. Of course Andy who is just totally insane offers advice no normal human should listen too why Jim and Pam say if you like her ask her out. In the end it's Kevin going after the girl with a great line.
A great line was Kevin, nice.... boobs.
TK's take: Great episode, can't wait for the next couple of weeks as new faces make their way to Dunder Mifflin and put Michael on the hot seat!!!
