So just came across something interesting on Yahoo this morning. The Sears Tower is changing it's name. I'll give all of you a moment to let it seek in but the most historic landmark in Chicago will be changing it's name to the Willis Tower. Well this sucks right?
Apparently according to Yahoo, Willis Group Holdings signed some sort of a lease where in it, the name is changed because of the fact they are moving in 500 or so of their own people into the building.
I understand that this is business and that the Willis Group will have a lot of people in the building on multiple floors taking up a lot of offices, but as a Chicago kid, I will never refer to it as the Willis Tower, it will always remain to me and I think to many as the Sears Tower.
That is just TK's take.
