Is anyone else not shocked by this? Because I am certainly not. It's a joke and yes I'll go out on a short limb and says he will come back to the NFL for one more season, retire, un retire and then play for the Oakland Raiders in 2010. This man is a joke, I've never liked Favre and for him to do this again is another brown spot on his already tarnished reputation.
What good is he going to serve to the Vikings? His shoulder already has problems and God only knows he can't hold up for an entire season again no way. Look what he did to the Jets, they collapsed as my Miami Dolphins beat them in week 17. (sorry had to throw that out there)
Last time I checked the definition of retire- it means to stop for good, not have second thoughts again and again. This shouldn't be a huge surprise to anyone and he will come back and play just because it's him. So Viking fans I'm sorry to have to tell you that it's going to be a rough year for your team as you can kiss the playoffs goodbye with Favre at the helm.
I think that if he is hit one time and hit hard he will be done. He's over the hill and has been for some time. He needs to stay retired if he knows what's good for him and for a team to actually consider using his services like the Vikings who are a younger team with talent there, Adrian Peterson, the best rb in the league, it's a joke. The Vikings need to develop a quarterback not hire some washed up old hag who if he takes one hit, his arm might just disintegrate, literally.
