TK tackles the big sports headlines

Well for Chicago Cub fans, the news was grim today, as the Big Ace of the Cubs starting rotation Carlos Zambrano was put on the DL and is going to miss 2-3 weeks, which isn't a good thing for a team that is struggling right now. Zambrano leaves the rotation with a glaring hole as Big Z was 3-1 with a 4.50 era. Ted Lily is doing alright with a 3-2 record and a very good 3.13 era, while Harden and Dempster are 2-1, 5.11 and 1-1, 5.40 era respectively. The Cubs are going to be in some major trouble for these 2-3 weeks at least and are going to need those three guys to step their games up if they want to stay near the top of the N.L. Central.

Also I want the whole saga with A-rod to freaking come to a rest. There are other teams and players in MLB besides the Yankees and A-rod and I'm a Yankee fan! It's getting a tad ridiculous to only hear about A-rod and how he is the first thing talked about on Sportscenter on a night that other sports like the NBA are on, give me a break. The guy did steroids and so did everyone else but no one has come forth, so give him a break. He made a mistake and admitted it. So enough with the A-rod drama.

And another thing that has got me thinking tonight. King Lebron James won his first career NBA MVP Award in his sixth season tying that of the best player ever, Michael Jordan. And on ESPN tonight, PTI debated, who is better so far through six seasons- Lebron or MJ? Lebron led his team to an NBA Final, and MJ has not. But I still don't think it's a contest- MJ is still better. He had over 32 points a game and made some of the most memorable shots of all time and earned his name Air Jordan in those first 6 years and in his 7th year he won his first nba title, so Lebron still can beat that if the Cavs win this year. But you gotta go with MJ over Lebron no matter when you compare the two, and that's just the way it is.
