Guitar Hero Van Halen Confirmed!

Yes Activision has confirmed the long rumored next installment in it's band focused style of games- Guitar Hero: Van Halen, and I can't wait. Now while it's unclear which characters will be in the game, (seeing that this band went through 3 singers) I am hoping for a lot of early Van Halen with the one and only Diamond David Lee Roth. If you want to talk about guitar, then look no further. Oh singing and drums are also included and they rock also. Here are 5 songs that Guitar Hero: Van Halen have to include...

1. ERUPTION
TK's take- This is a no brainer. It's only one of the single handed greatest guitar solos of all time and it deserves a spot in this game just because it rocks so much. Imagine playing this song on hard or expert, good lord I'm salivating over it, give me a second to dry my keyboard please. If you don't believe me or are living under a rock and have never heard the pure power of Edward Van Halen, then click the video below.

2. AIN'T TALKIN' 'BOUT LOVE
TK's take- Ok I'm being a tad selfish here because this is my favorite VH song but it is a good band song to play. The opening riff will surely service all our inner rock needs when we play it and it's just a fun rock driven song. Great guitar, good vocals, and of course killer bass and drums, what more can a rock fan ask for?

3. UNCHAINED
TK's take- The guitar just kick ass on this song and that's all I got to say about that.

4. EVERYBODY WANTS SOME
TK's take- I just want this song to be on there for the opening drum segment and the shrieking guitar that slowly enters your brain as the song progresses. It's a classic song and playing it on the game would only add to it for me anyways.

5. RUNNIN WITH THE DEVIL
TK's take- Bass anyone? Who doesn't like this song or who wouldn't want to play it on GH? Find me that person who doesn't and I will fight them, that is my promise to you. The song just rocks!

Ok so it's pretty hard to find the real studio versions of all these songs, but I found them and their all just rocking, so enjoy. GH: Van Halen is scheduled to come out in fall 2009.
